Well, it’s week 2, already. I wasn’t expecting a visit from Aunt Flo. I also wasn’t expecting it to be that painful. I thought the more active you were, the less it would hurt? This seems to be the worst month I’ve had in a long while.
I relapsed over the weekend. I was having a pretty stressful time with my smoking progress. I thought someone would have to bail me out of prison, but I managed to avoid locking Dillon in a closet. Mostly, though, I’ve been trying to figure out what makes me want to smoke. Drinking coffee is one, so I haven’t drank any for a few days. Let me tell you, it is difficult to stop smoking, but coffee is my fuel.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t be as active as I wanted to, since I could barely walk for two days this week. I do know what I’m going to do, though: Stairs and squats. Since I don’t own a home gym and I can’t drag a house full of kids to the public gym in town, I’ve decided to run up and down the stairs to our front porch about 100 times a day. Let’s face it, it’s a good workout for someone who never leaves the house. There is a full two-mile block around where I live that I have walked a couple of times as a teen. I wish I could take the kids for a stroll and walk, but it’s much to dangerous for kids to walk around. The stairs will do! Seriously, one time up these brick stairs makes me want to take a nap.
There’s only four steps. I need to get into shape, fast.
I will be looking on Pinterest for a squat challenge, too. Any suggestions are welcome! I’m not giving up, even if I’m starting off at a slow pace!
Until next week, guys!
