Friday Update: Week 5

Start weight: 204 lbs
Current weight: 200 lbs
Goal weight: 160 lbs

Look at that! Almost under 200 pounds! Surprisingly, I think gaining my appetite back helped more than anything. Especially, since I’ve only been doing light exercise. Anyway, I am so happy to be almost under! I started this journey at 204, but before that, I weighed 225. I’m definitely starting to feel better. Much better, actually! When the rain stops and the leaves start to fall, I will definitely be active. Raking leaves is actually my favorite chore. Yes, I am one of those “It’s autumn! Everybody grab your pumpkin carving kits!” type of people.

Oh, Thanksgiving. That is going to ruin me. I will not lie to you guys. I will probably dive face first into the food when that day comes. I’ll just do an intense workout for a few days, after.

Mmm, casserole.

Also, I want to share that I smoked ten less cigarettes than my normal amount, yesterday. Smoking is the hardest part. It has gotten to where I have good and bad days. Eh, mostly bad days. I’m not really sure if it’s because of the eating changes or I’m just extra stressed about my GED.

Speaking of which, I said before that I would add getting that to my goals that I plan to accomplish. I went to my first class last Thursday. It felt so good to be there! I did pretty well, too.  I did really well on the Language Arts portion of the pretest. Unfortunately, I had to miss yesterday’s class. I won’t worry, though. I’ll be continuing next Thursday. If I can help it, nothing will stop me!

Yay, inspiring!

During this past month, my panic episodes are few and far between. To me, that is the best part of all this. Last night, I had an unexpected panic attack. It passed quickly, though, so it didn’t bother me as much as it usually would have.

There’s a lot of questions that I have brewing, though. I want to research, but I’m terrified of the thousands of results I might find. One question: Why am I losing an abnormal amount of hair? Can weight loss cause this? Another question: What can I do to reduce loose skin and stretch marks?

If anyone has any answers to these questions, I will gladly share them in next weeks update for someone else who might be wondering the same things! I think what I might do, is write down any other questions that might come up.

One more thing, before I take all of your time. I plan to renovate the ol’ blog, soon. I love my little mascot, Nervous Nelly, but I just think it’s time for her to retire. Her short time with us will be missed, but it’s for the best. I’m not sure when I will start my “redecorating”, but hopefully, you guys will love the new look!

Yay, change!
